Welcome to the form to Join. There are a few requirements to joining. You must be under 19 years of age and be above 0 years of age. So you can see it's pretty much just for kids. After you join you get on board a starship obviously the going through the Academy thing is not yet inforced so you get in without having to go through the academy.
